It was all pre-planned. To stay at Orchard Hotel for Valentine's Day, that is. And it was right after our Taiwan trip. Time to relax and enjoy the comfort of staying in a hotel in Singapore itself.
We were no strangers to this hotel as we held our wedding banquet in Orchard Hotel back in 2013. We were given two days of hotel stay but we only utilized one day right after the banquet, so here we were back to utilize the last day of hotel stay, and therefore it became a staycation for us.
The same Signature Suite room was given to us as we checked into the hotel in the early afternoon on 14th February, Valentine's Day. The layout was the same as the one we had on our wedding day but of a different colour theme. This time round it was white. Still the corridor which led to our rooms had the oriental feel to it. Inside the room, fresh fruits, a bottle of wine, and a National Geographic magazine were placed on the tabletops for our enjoyment. 48 square metres, it was almost like an apartment. There were three TVs in the room. One for the living room area where the sofa was, one which you could watch while in bed, and even one at the bathtub area. Great way to enjoy a relaxed hotel stay watching your favourite TV shows, at any point in the room. And not forgetting there was a rain shower for those who like their shower like being under the rain. There was even a Bose sound system for audiophiles.
It's time to visit Orchard Hotel once again!

After checking out the room and putting down our bags, we decided to visit the cafe area for premium suite guests to enjoy some afternoon tea. There were some pastries, sandwiches, tarts to enjoy our afternoon away. What an indulgence. After the awesome afternoon tea, we took a stroll around the hotel and visited the pool. Found something interesting next to the pool. A huge chess set. Probably not meant to be played or at least not for kids. We then went back up to the room to change into swimming costumes and took a dip into the pool until it was almost evening.

After the swim, we went back up into the room to take some final shots of the room before heading out for dinner outside the hotel.
Orchard Hotel is conveniently located in Orchard Road, of course, and there are many amenities like shopping malls, restaurants etc nearby. We had Japanese dinner at Wheelock Place, just ten minutes away from Orchard Hotel, before heading back to the room to watch some TV shows.
We were definitely exhausted from our Taiwan trip and went to bed early in the comfort of the King-sized bed and quickly dozed off.

Unfortunately, good things do not last long. The next morning, it was all back to our warm and equally comfortable home. It would definitely be a good idea to visit Orchard Hotel again in the future for another staycation perhaps?
