Attractions for the day:
Mapo Agricultural and Marine Products Market 麻浦农水产物市场 [Google Maps Link]

It's the last day of our trip. There wasn't much on the itinerary. Early morning, we boarded the coach and traveled quite a distance. Some time along the journey, we came across a river and saw some amazing views of the city. Skyscrapers, bridges, parks and expressways. That's exactly what we would expect from such a metropolis like Seoul. We then reached our destination - a Chinese restaurant called 新東陽 to have Chinese breakfast. WHAT?!? Why were we given Chinese food on a South Korean trip? Then again, it was a rather pleasant change from all the kimchi and barbecued food we had been having for the past one week. Our breakfast had some veggies, eggs, buns. Very common Chinese dishes, yet a nice change for our taste buds.

A bridge for trains.

A skyscraper belonging to the Hanwha Group.

Doesn't look like a restaurant to me.

Visiting a Chinese restaurant for our last breakfast in South Korea.

Feels like we're in China.

Immediately after breakfast, our next stop was a shop selling amethysts and other precious gems and jewellery. Totally not interested in such things. We merely walked around for a while before heading back to our coach to rest.

Amethyst as souvenirs? No thank you.

Next we were brought to another place selling health products. A total waste of time. But that's expected of most package tours. Can't complain too much about it.

Health products? No thank you.

After spending about two hours at the previous two stops, we were finally brought to a "tourist spot" - the Mapo Agricultural and Marine Products Market. Along the way we spotted a stadium with the words 'Seoul World Cup Stadium' on it. Must had been one of the stadiums used for the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

We entered the huge market which contained probably a few hundred stalls selling all kinds of marine and agricultural products. Saw some weird-looking stuff which we later found online that they were called 'sea squirts'. And it was then we realized it was one of those seafood which left a bad taste in our mouths on Day 3 of our trip. There were also the usual fish, crabs and shellfish. Other products on sale were fruits and even mochi. A large part of the same building contained a supermarket as well and we decided to buy quite a bit of snacks and other foodstuffs from it.

Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Our final "tourist spot" for the day.

I'll never forget the taste nor try this sea squirt ever again.

Shellfish. Not our favourites.

Rows of stalls selling all kinds of seafood.

Plenty of fish we've never seen before.

There were so many different types of kimchi available.

These gigantic crabs must cost quite a bomb.

A colourful array of fruits were available as well.

Pastries such as these "mochi" were also available.

For the last meal of our trip, we were brought to a huge building where a restaurant was located. We were given a steamboat lunch consisting of items such as tofu, veggies, vermicelli, dumplings and mushrooms. There were also the usual side dishes. Our last chance to enjoy authentic Korean food...

The place we had our final meal for our trip.

Our final chance to have all the side dishes we want for the trip.

Steamboat as our final meal.

Finally, it was time to bring us to the Incheon International Airport. We bid farewell to our other tour group mates and hung around the airport as there was quite a bit of time before our flight. There were many interesting cafes in the airport. One of them was the Charlie Brown Cafe. Another was the Hello Kitty Cafe. We ended up having a Green Tea Latte at the latter. A nice little treat to end our wonderful 7D6N journey of South Korea. Would we ever travel to South Korea again? You bet!

An interesting procession featuring traditional Korean hanbok.

Dear gets to take a picture with her favourite Snoopy.

We also have Charlie Brown Cafe in Singapore.

These look too cute to be eaten.

Hello Kitty. Another one of Dear's favourites.

What should we try?

Ordered a Green Tea Latte. Comes with a cute Hello Kitty face on top.

Smells good and looks good.

Goodbye Hello Kitty Cafe and South Korea.
